According to a survey by the National Consumer Council in 2007, seven out of 10 people do not have a will, therefore advisers, be they IFAs or Mortgage intermediaries are in a prime position to offer such a service and provide real peace of mind to their clients.
The cornerstone of all financial planning is having the correct Wills and trusts in place for clients. Not only is this the correct thing for the client, but the opportunity available to all advisers in offering this service is extraordinary and one which can only be measured and really understood by those who take Will writing in their business seriously.

In doing so they not only bring potential additional, regular and lucrative income to our partner firms, they also generate access to executors, witnesses, guardians, trustees named in the Will, i.e. enhancing your client referral options.
APS Legal & Associates are a specialist Will and Legal Services business. The Legal Services initiative formed by Paradigm allows you, in exchange for an introductory commission, a choice of either a Referral Service where you refer your clients on to one of their National base of Will Writers who will act on your and the clients behalf, or alternatively they offer Paradigm member firms the opportunity to diversify their business and train someone within your business to act as a legal consultant, an Associate of APS, thus retaining greater control, and of course a greater share of any fee income generated. Ison Harrison Solicitors are a leading National Law Firm (regulated by both the SRA and Law Society) with a growing reputation second to none both in the intermediary and private sector. Paradigm member firms are able to refer their clients to Ison Harrison where they will be provided with a full will-writing service via a Tele-referral system where the client can immediately be put in contact with a Lawyer (Equity Partner). The Partner conducts a short interview with the client over the phone and following this process the will is professionally drafted and the client billed. As a free service Ison Harrison will also review the will of any client who already has one to ensure they remain valid and reflect the client's current wishes.
Unique to Paradigm, members can also now refer clients to Ison Harrison's newly-developed fixed-price electronic divorce service. In a first of its kind, intermediaries can now offer their clients a swift and responsive divorce service delivered by experienced legal professionals. The service provides clients with a straightforward way of achieving an uncontested divorce as well as providing the client with legal advice which can help identify where there may be other issues which need to be resolved.
